RELATIONSHIPS MATTER!

Happy new week to my favourite people on earth! hope you had a splendid week? It has been quiet a journey on living a fulfilling and successful life on this platform. From Giving is fun to Live a life of purpose to break free from negative addictions and the rest of the topics we had treated. The essence of this weekly post is to help you achieve the kind of life that you deserve. The kind that has been pre- planned by God way before your existence.

This week, I have decided to share with you how to create and maintain meaningful relationships in the course of your journey to greatness. This is one of the most important aspect of life. Your relationship with people does not only form your school of thought, but also reflects who you are. Apart from the fact that you need to live your life in daily consciousness of your actions, you also need to have a clear definition of the purpose of your relationship with other people, most especially those around you. Ask yourself these questions daily, it would help. How is my relating with other people affecting their lives? What kind of influence or what impact do I have on people around me? How do I want people to see me? What is my true essence in the lives of others? When I speak to people, are they inspired or downcasted?. Believe it or not, The reason for your existence is not only to fulfil your purpose but to also impact , motivate others to live life successfully.

You achieve this by not taking out your problems or hurts on others, by not criticising others, by being selfless and most of all, by not valuing money more than your relationship with people.

It is no more surprising that people these days value money more than the people around them. They are usually quick to say that they don't care about people generally. All they care for is cash! Too much love for money can make you loose the people that matter to you if you are not careful. That is why some people lack good people in their lives. The truth is that when people realise that you love money more than them, they run far away from you. When the value that you place on money is much  higher than that of people in your life, then this post is for you.

You definitely can't do without good and loyal people in the journey of your life because that's what God created us for, RELATIONSHIP.  Money can buy everything but not good friends. How do you then improve on your dealings with people?

* Do not overrate the value of money in your life i.e. don't value money more than people in your life.

* Let relationships matter to you. however irrelevant they are for now.

* Don't undermine anyone. Who you feel can't help you in any way today can save your life in future.

* Love genuinely, even when you are not loved.

* Give, give and give.

* Let your life inspire people on a daily basis

* Be a problem solver.

* Let people worship God through your character.

The place of success is usually lonely for those who failed to maintain relationships before they got there because they find it difficult to trust people. Identifying people who love them for their money is also very difficult at this stage. Therefore cherish your relationship with people around you now, before you become and don't forget that how you treat them is how they treat you.  Have a lovely week!

LAZINESS IS A TURN OFF!

Hello great people! I hope you had a wonderful holiday? Obviously the holiday is over and we are back to the regular life. This week, we would take a quick peek on why many people, after reading books on success, heard about success stories are still not motivated to become successful.  I have realised that many people want to be successful and rich but only few are willing to pay the price. The reason for the celebration of Easter is because Jesus paid a price with his life to save the whole world from sin. He came to the world to fulfil a purpose. When the time to pay the price came, even though He had power to deliver Himself from those who sought after His life, He didn't do it. He had to fulfil destiny, He had to pay the price.

Like I always say, There is no one on the face of the earth who wasn't born with or for a purpose. why only few are celebrated is because majority don't want to dwell on whatever will derive so much effort and sacrifice from them. Based on research, one of the factors that contribute to this is sheer laziness.

LAZINESS is the act of being unwilling to work or use energy. The act of resisting effort and the state of passivity. Laziness is a habit that has been part of whoever indulges in it over time. It affects their decision making, their will to become successful and their way of life.

Most lazy people find it hard or difficult to discover what they are passionate about because of the effort it requires. They sometimes which they were rich and passionate about something. But they are also usually quick to rule it out of their minds. Almost everyone wants the honour that comes with success, but not everyone can actually fathom the driving force behind every successful person.

However, If you desire a good and fulfilling life, you must rule out laziness from your personal dictionary. Instead of focusing on the stress and obstacles of doing what it takes to be successful, you should rather focus on the outcome, the honour and fulfilment that comes with it. For instance if a student thinks about the rigorous exercise involved in obtaining a degree, they would never go to school. The same way you must view fulfilling purpose and success.

Some of the reasons for Laziness could be lack of motivation, not being able to make a decision, procrastination, lack of energy, fear of the unknown e.t.c.

However, you can overcome all these by doing the following:

* BE IN-CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE: You must first take charge of your life. This means that you don't have to seek approval from anyone in order to make a decision by simply having a mind of your own.

* SELF- MOTIVATION: By also practising self motivation. In other words, be motivated by your own courage. Do not allow your present situation to define who you are. Poverty is not a degree neither is it a certificate. It doesn't define you, it is only temporary if you are willing to break free from it.

* BE SURE OF WHAT YOU WANT:  knowing what you want and where you wish to be helps a great deal. It helps you to work out plans on how to go about your life and succeed.

* AVOID PROCASTINATION: It is a deadly disease. It practically doesn't allow you to get anything done. Why not do what you want to do now? why later?

* EXERCISE YOUR BODY: You also need to engage in exercises if you lack energy to perform tasks. To run your daily activities, you need physical energy and you can only get this through healthy foods and exercises.

* HAVE A TO DO LIST:  You can also have a to do list everyday written out in your writing pad. This enables you to have an idea of what you need to get done before the end of the day. You can achieve this by simply ticking the ones you are able to do for the day. All these activities shape your daily life and habits. It becomes part of you over time.

The truth is, until you are tired of your present state, nothing can be done to help you. You need to first make a firm decision before books or words of motivation can help you. You need actions, no amount of article written can do your works for you. You have to do them yourself.

Make affirmations on who you want to be and not who you are right now. Say words of declarations and act according to these words. Do these and see your life take a sharp turn towards the life and future you desire.

Thank you for always taking time to read through, I wish you a week full of bliss and happiness.

SPECIAL INVITAION

You are invited to the maiden edition of BalmOfGilead Global Foundation programme/seminar tagged L.I.F.E., Living Intentionally For Excellence. Admission is free.

Make it a date with us and change your perspective about life forever....
I can't wait to see you there!

THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS!

Happy new week my intentional people! I welcome you to another amazing week of great influence. This week, I would start by first narrating the story of  an undergraduate young lady who dated a rich and unfaithful young man. She knew he wasn't faithful but didn't mind because she enjoyed the gifts and money she got from the man. Moreover she did an analysis and realised that she might not even have to search for job after graduation. The man was that rich.
She had a perfect picture of her future with the man and in no time got pregnant for him. Once pregnant, they had a hasty wedding ceremony and life was beautiful for the lady. Three months after, her husband cheated, drank excessive alcohol and disregarded her. Anytime she tried to put him in order, he was quick to remind her how she forced marriage on him with her pregnancy. Life became unbearable for her and she was desperate for solution. After all that wasn't what she planned for.

Some dreamers are like the young lady, they want success so badly they can't endure the process it entails. They want to break out over night not minding what they involve in to get there. Please note that whatever you do for success becomes a determining factor for its outcome. Dreamers who don't mind how they become can be likened to the lady whose story was related above. She had so much hope for the future in the most wrong way and ended up regretting her actions because of the path she took to become.  As much as you crave success, take a moment to reflect on the steps you are taking. Make sure you are on the right part if you desire a life of fulfilment.

The means by which you become should be what you are most conscious about on your journey to becoming. Remember, it is only God that makes rich without adding sorrow. Ever wondered why some rich folks park their SUVs in the middle of the road and begin to act abnormally?. This is not a confirmation on what they did or did not. But who knew how they became?. However, being able to answer the following questions honestly will give you a clear picture of where you stand at the moment. By what means do you want to become?  What is the motive behind why you want to become?.  It is important to state that what you don't work hard for cannot bring an everlasting happiness to you. Life is in phases, you either work first and play later or play first and work later.

In conclusion, on your way to success, what manner of things would you put your hands into? would you forfeit your integrity on the way? would your conscience be compromised? would you be willing to do just about anything in the name of fame? remember, For every cause, there is an effect and for every means, there is an end.
It is the wish of BOGGF (BalmOfGilead Global Foundation) that everyone lives a life of positive impact and total satisfaction to enact the future that we all can be proud of in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world.
Thank you for your support always!...

BEWARE OF DREAM KILLERS

Hello people! you are welcome to the month of April. The year is gradually closing in and I hope that you are already working out your project for the year just as you have purposed. Remember, time waits for no one.

This week, I would focus on how to identify and relate with dream killers. There are people who will not believe in your dream and vision. Though they sometimes might have good reasons for not believing in you. Part of the questions they would ask you especially if your dream requires some money is where will you get the kind of money you need?. And there are some who believe but are scared for you, there are also some who will not be happy that you are aiming high, hence they will be bent on discouraging you from achieving your dream. They will point out obvious reasons to convince you otherwise but you need to stand firm, you need all the self encouragement and motivation that you can muster so as not to give up. These people are called dream killers. You have to be able to identify and walk far away from them as you can if you ever want to make it to the finish line.

Dream killers come mostly in form of people who are close to you. It might be your most trusted friend, your parent, spouse, uncle or aunty. e.t.c. Dream killers are real and they continue to kill people's dreams everyday without most of them knowing it. When you approach them with your plan, they fault it with reasonable assumptions and tell you why it can't work. However, shock them by arming yourself with WHAT IF IT WORKS OUT? and go right ahead to do it. Now, if it doesn't work out, that doesn't mean that you have failed, pride yourself in the experience that you have gained and the lessons learnt from it and move right on to plan and execute some other plan. Take responsibility for your actions and move on. They might suggest another business idea or paid employment to you that will not go in line with what you are passionate about thereby dissuading you from pursuing the original plan of God for your life; be sure to say a polite no. This is why you have to be confident about what you want to become. Beware of people who do not inspire you to aim high. Beware of  pessimists who don't believe in positivism. Your dream is too precious to be delayed or truncated. You do not have to give up on your dream because of temporary circumstances. There is a place that is prepared for you, you need to believe and work towards its possession if you want to acquire it.

Your dream is like a locked treasure, it is there, you can see it, but you only need to solve the puzzles woven around it to unlock it. Once it is unlocked, it becomes yours for the taking. When life happens to you, pick up your courage in God and move on. I need to add that you need to work solely with the one who planned your future and gave you this vision, God. If you can walk with Him in running the affairs of your dream, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Most dreamers fail because they fail to run with the one person who gave them this dream. Don't be like those who killed their own dream by not realising this truth. Be wise.

In your journey, be grateful for every little progress or achievements. It will not happen in a twinkle of an eye, it takes a gradual process and you have to appreciate that. like we discussed last week, you have to put on the right attitude on your way to becoming, and after, in order to avoid instant crumbling. It takes lots of  efforts to move to that place of purpose but it takes nothing to fall from there. It is so heart breaking when I see people who were so humble when they were struggling to make it but changed abruptly when they finally made it. they start acting like they are so up there they cannot fall. they could do whatever they like.  One thing they failed to realised is that some people had been rich before them. The most disappointing is the fact that they refuse to help others claiming they suffered before reaching the point they are in now. wow, such ignorance.

If you cannot help others with what you have, you automatically loose the honour that should accompany your wealth.

The wealth God gave you is not for you alone, it is also for people around you. When you evolve, help others to evolve too. That is basically the essence of life. My mentor once said that at the end of it all, where you are from won't matter anymore. That is you won't be asked if you are Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. But  the question will be what was your impact on the tribe you were sent to? because the purpose of God for everyone is to render selfless service to humanity. So if you think you are rich by your own power to oppress and exploit the ones who don't have, I implore you to think again.

Thank you for not only being an ardent reader but for also applying what you learnt to your daily life. And that's where I derive my joy and fulfilment from. Thank you again, and have a purposeful week!
