INTEGRITY PAYS!

Hello people, Happy democracy day! I am sure you would agree with me that today is a great day.  Last week we discussed goal setting, and i believe that everyone has set their goals and are already acting on them. This week however, I would like to discuss one of the virtues you need to acquire on your way to success.

INTEGRITY : Integrity means honesty, strong moral principles, uprightness, honour, right-mindedness, decency, fairness, sincerity, truthfulness. The list is endless. Integrity means everything good, just and right. Integrity is that one virtue that makes you a celebrated hero. When you climb the ladder the right way, the honour that comes with it is always immeasurable. If you look around, you can easily point out those who are highly celebrated because of their strong moral values and                principles.
Achievement that comes with becoming a success through the right way is such that you are proud of. I had a conversation with an uncle of mine who owned an accounting firm yesterday evening at his house, and he went on about the challenges his company is faced with due to her moral values and principles. He spoke about his decision on never to receive bribe from anyone in the course of discharging his duties and how it has not been easy to maintain the company due to financial challenges. He lamented so much on the fraud, bribery, lack of integrity that take place in private and government parastatals. But even in the face of challenges he re-affirmed that he would never compromise his integrity for anything. You needed to see the look on my face, I felt so proud of  him.

As leaders, entrepreneurs and dreamers, you must never ever leave out the virtue of integrity. If you lack integrity, you automatically lack the honour and respect that should accompany your success. If everyone decides to be honest and fair in discharging their duties in Nigeria, I strongly believe that Nigeria would be a better place. Yes we have people like my uncle in different spheres of profession who are also honest and dedicated to their works but they are obviously not many.

Are you a public office holder or private practice personnel? do you see being tipped to go against your professional ethics in the discharge of your duty as a normal routine or avenue to make extra income by the side?  Remember, one day you will leave that office to a new life. But who knows how life will decide to deal with you at the time?

If you require a better future for our dear country Nigeria? then it has to begin with you. like i always say, be the change you want to see. Life is not all about what we have but it has everything to do with who we are. So i implore you to do what you will always be proud of, not what you will feel sorry about for the rest of your life. For whatever you do will always come back to you ( either good or bad). And if you do not have kids that will be partakers of your doings, you surely will have families like parents, siblings, uncles, aunties, nephews and nieces as karma is no respecter of anyone.

Therefore, I challenge you the new generation of achievers to dare to be different.  You don't have to do what everyone does. Integrity and honesty pays a whole lot. The gains might not be immediate but it brings about eternal happiness and fulfillment. Though it might seem difficult to keep up at first, but if you don't give up, you definitely won't see it as a big deal anymore.

Thank you for your time always, have a pleasant week.

SET GOALS!

Hello there! how is the week going? it is quiet a busy one for me, hence my lateness in posting for the week. However, nothing can stop a man with a dream and purpose. As entrepreneurs, leaders and goal getters, there is a need for GOAL SETTING if you ever want to achieve and move beyond your dreams.

GOAL SETTING : Simply put, is the process that involves identifying what you want to achieve, how you want to achieve and when you intend to achieve. With goal setting, every dream becomes real and achievable because it not only helps you gain clarity, it also gives room for how and when you need to achieve it. Goal setting makes your dream practicable and becomes your guide to success. With goal setting, you don't just dream, you act and become a doer.

The theory of goal settings states that it has to be SMART. That is, specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound.

When you set goals, it makes you to be more committed to realizing your dream and gives you the one step at a time kind of achievement. It also helps you not to lose focus on your purpose so that things that don't have relevance to your goals will not matter to you.

When you set goals and achieve them, you create opportunities for yourself and the liberty to own your time.

To live a happy and fulfilled life, you have to dream and act. But you can't do this if you don't set goals. So i encourage you today not only to be a dreamer but also to be a doer by having an agenda on how you can realize your dream which is GOAL SETTING.

You can do this yourself if you are disciplined and determined, you can also get a coach to do this for you. The essence of a coach is that they serve as your accountability officer. Coaches ensure that you achieve your goals at the time you need to achieve them. They are responsible for supporting and encouraging you to succeed. If you need help on setting goals and achieving them, you can contact balmofgileadfoundation24@gmail.com.

God bless you! enjoy the rest of your week.

GIVE THANKS!

Hello people! You are welcome to a brand new week. It is always a pleasure to help walk through the journey of your life. Your happiness is all I crave for because everyone deserves to be happy and satisfied with their lives. And as long as you are not tired, i will also not be weary. This week, I would like to share with you the greatest virtue you need to possess that can grant you everlasting joy.

THANKSGIVING:

How often do you give thanks? when last did you genuinely give thanks for your life and what you are going through. Did you know that whatever you are facing right now, no matter how grave or light it seem, is all part of your breakthrough story? did you know that it is very typical of success to send challenges your way first, in order to prepare you for what you are about to experience in it, and for you to appreciate it when it finally finds you?

Without struggle, there can be no triumph, therefore, right where you feel you are, either at the lowest of the pyramid or at the top of it, cultivate the habit of thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving releases the flood gate of heaven. It brings about unwarranted blessings. God loves to be praised, and that is the only reward He demands from us for all the things He has done, and will still do for humanity. Giving thanks especially in time of need, ignites immediate provision from God. Try it, It works like magic. Giving thanks is the greatest of all virtues, it is spiritual and it defines who you are.

Brian Tracy said and i quote that "develop an attitude of gratitude and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation".

So what is your situation like? that life you think is not perfect, your not so sweet marriage, your underpaid job, your not so brilliant child, your lack of money, your not so nice stature, your not so beautiful face, the things you cannot afford,  e.t.c. Give thanks for them! for it could have been worse. Besides, what you think is bad in your life, is what some other people wish they had. Therefore, no matter your current situation, be grateful.

However, it is not enough to feel happy or grateful, it is best when you express it. Gratitude felt and not expressed is like an unwrapped present. Being thankful means showing that you are grateful for your life and that you are happy about it so that others can tap into the joy that radiates in you everyday. If you desire a satisfying and fulfilling life, you must have the heart that give thanks always. In return, you get to be joyous even if your life is not so perfect.

Thank you for your time, have a joyful week!

LISTEN TO YOUR HEART!

Hello intentional people! happy new week. As always, I am so excited to reach out to you today. Last week was all about your passion and its importance to the journey of your life. This week, let us discuss your life, and how you see it.

Often times, I have seen people get confused about how to live their lives. Basically how to be in charge of their lives.  They seem not to understand how other people run their lives successfully, because they have also tried to do that but they found it very hard to do. The logic is this, if anyone wants to paddle the boat of their life, they have to do it with their heart (intentionally).

Your heart is like the engine room of your life. You need to understand how it works before you can understand the message it passes across to
   you.
However, I have to make it clear that you can achieve none of this if you don't give room for the one who created the heart for you. Invariably, you can only paddle the boat of your life with your heart (intentional living) if you understand that the one who made it, made it with specific guide and manual that you have to read and follow, so that you don't get lost while paddling.

Now sometimes, the guide comes randomly. It doesn't even look like what you have in mind or what you see yourself doing at all. But since you are paddling with your heart, and you understand how it works and the message or signal it sends to you, you just take it and change course. This is what it means to be in charge of your life.

The act of listening to every instruction sent to you through the manual from God's table and the ability to act on it even before sharing it with others. The act of living a spontaneous life, the ability to understand the signal of the guide leading towards certain path no matter how strange it is to you, and having the boldness to follow through.

The truth is,  you cannot achieve this if you box yourself to a corner, if you are not open to new ideas and change. If you limit yourself to certain things, if you feel some things are just not for you.
People who know me well, can tell that i am unpredictable and spontaneous in a positive way. This is because i flow with my heart a lot. We might have a chat today about everything going on in my life, and the next day, i am onto another big thing that i didn't even know i would be doing at all not to talk of mentioning it to you when we had our discussion. That is what it means to flow with your heart.

If you flow with your heart always, you engage in constant meditation and it reveals more things to you, more ideas, more opportunities, and then, you just flow with it. Now i don't wait for approval from anyone once i get my instructions, I make up my mind instantly and map out ways of achieving them. If you are the type that bothers so much about what people would say, then you might have difficulty in being responsible for your life. It means that you allow what people say to paddle your life's boat for you. And that can't take you far because your heart is in you and not in other people.

How do you expect your heart to send signal to other people? or how does your heart communicate with your friends? they are not the carrier of your own heart, so it is not possible. They can't know you like you do.

Therefore,  I challenge you to make a decision today to be in charge of your life. Be ready for change, be open to new ideas and innovations. Meditate, be a solution provider, help people, love life and live it intentionally. In all of this, you will find the essence and the true meaning of life. God bless you and have a great week!

CHANGE THE WORLD THROUGH YOUR PASSION!

Happy new month people! Today is quiet special because it is Monday and also worker's day. So you don't get to work today. How nice it is for workers to be recognized for their hard work all over Nigeria. As a nation, it is expected that workers diligently perform their task for the progress of their country and also have the obligation of enjoying their tasks even as they are rewarded with wages and salaries. However, in Nigeria today, many people just work for the salary and not for the joy of working because of the absence of passion. only few can boast of satisfaction and fulfillment when they are asked simply because of lack of passion. This week, I will concentrate on passion and how it works.

WHY DO YOU NEED PASSION TO WORK EFFECTIVELY AT YOUR WORK PLACE?

Passion is defined as the strong feeling of enthusiasm and excitement for something or about doing something. Passion is what you build your life around. it challenges you, motivates you and puts you to work. It gives you energy for work and fulfillment. It is what makes you to have real impact on your work and at your work place.

On the other hand, lack of passion leads to vulnerability at work place. It sucks out your energy for work and makes you tired. You look forward to weekend always, when extra effort is needed to meet up with target, you just find yourself not being up to it. If your work is to relate with client for instance, you end up smearing your organisation's image by being totally unfriendly with them. You make mistakes often and you are not happy. If all these sound familiar, then you are probably not as passionate as you were when you started work. You need to work on being passionate in order to enjoy satisfaction. If you work in Lagos for instance, you will understand that getting to your work place everyday is enough stress. It will be a greater stress for you to get to work and find it boring and not exciting!

You need passion to be a great and award winning worker. Passion is the reason selected workers are more celebrated than the others in the same organisation. Passion can however be developed overtime. this can be achieved by first appreciating your work and your work environment.
1.  Discover the task you love performing the most at work and practice it constantly. This means that passion can be developed with experience.

2. Be obliged to make a great impact at your work place. That is, identify a problem at your organisation and look for ways to solve it. Such that when you are not are around, you will be greatly missed.

3. Understand the reason for your employment by the organisation in the first place. Be aware of your roles and function and perform them effectively.

4. Dare to make a difference. There is a reason why you work where you work at. Make your time there worthwhile, make your works count so that when you leave, you will not be forgotten.

5. Set target for yourself and act on it.

6. Embark on personal training.

All these and more build up your passion gradually and make
you the best at what you do.  I must add that no one is born with passion for a particular job, it is developed with time and curiosity. The same way no one can help you build your passion, you create it yourself.

To make Nigeria a great country, every worker is obligated to work passionately not only for the gain, but also for the joy of the job that they do. This way the meaning of worker's day will not be lost or misinterpreted.  Enjoy your holiday!
